What is Android ?
Android is an Operating System (OS) Initially developed by Android, Inc. Google bought in 2005 later on engineered by Google it is based on Linux kernel. As android is and Operating System (OS) it will work on some hardware for Android mostly mobile devices are hardware for it some other devices like tablet pc also support Android technology. Android is the most popular Operating System (OS) these days approximately all of the mobile devices are base on Android Operating System (OS)
How it works :
The user interface of Android is based on direct manipulation, using touch inputs that loosely correspond to real-world actions, like swiping, tapping, pinching and reverse pinching to manipulate on-screen objects and much more funny things. Internal hardware such as accelerometers, gyroscopes and proximity sensors are used by some applications to respond to additional user actions, for example adjusting the screen from portrait to landscape depending on how the device is oriented and many other user interface oriented .

Now these days Android have a very large number of Apps and games and it support all the technologies like Skype calling etc
